The civil society group wants Fayose’s removal as Ekiti governor in 14 days.


civil society group organisations under the umbrella of joining of different for Good Governance and group that fight against Corruption has push the National Assembly to remove Ekiti state governor Ayodele Fayose and punished him for making a wrong use of the office.

It was  recorded that the group made the call at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, January 3 2017 and give them notice that the Assembly has fourteen days to do the job on else the will face nationwide protest.


National Secretary of the joining of different, Audu Joseph said the group was making its call because of the several accusations of very large corruption and criminal conduct against the Ekiti state governor.

Joseph noted that the group turned to the National Assembly because the Ekiti state assembly was give up in order to agree with another person and none of its members would institute disloyal proceedings against the governor.

He said: “This is to show that the Ekiti State House of Assembly can no longer perform there functions and the National Assembly should look into the taking over those functions to make sure that the needful is done.

“To the National Assembly, we demand that a making known of the doctrine of need to waive Fayose’s special protection from what is required for most people by law is non-negotiable at this point such that people enjoying special protection from what required for most people by law can be allowed to answer to criminal charges like the current situation where security funds were used and millions of Nigerians including the armed forces had to pay the supreme price.”

Joseph added: “In the last quarter of 2016, details emerged of how N4.7 billion naira was among of the stolen $2.1 billion which is meant to buy  arms  found its way into Ayo Fayose’s Zenith bank account after the money was ferried across the country in a private jet and bullion vans, according to Obanikoro’s testimony after he turned himself in to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“Just a few days ago, on December 29, 2016 another audio came out of Fayose with his partner in crime,which is Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, in which both of them discussed without regretting, about how they give up in order to agree with another person the December 10 legislative election re-run in Rivers state.

“Not once did any of them accept the importance of the things committed, which is among the killing of some policemen in addition to the now fixed habit movement to war of the wishes of the electorates.”


Joseph open up that the joining of different group that has 34 Civil Society organizations backing it.

These CSOs it notes are ready to recruit their members and other Nigerians for a big protest if Fayose is not removed by the National Assembly within the period of time.

The group’s request comes just as Governor Fayose’s wife put curses on the enemies of her husband.

Speaking during the year’s edition of inter-religious thanksgiving service in the state, Feyisetan the ekiti state governor wife said it was set time for some enemies trying to be friends be disclosed
Feyisetan Fayose said all the wolves in sheep clothing working against her husband’s administration will be suffer.
