APC and Ayodele Fayose,have disagree over the commencement of the payment of N5,000 to the poor.






The All Progressives Congress(APC) and the Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, did not agreed over the effect of the payment of N5,000 to about one million poor and unprotected against attack the Nigerians by the Federal Government.

While the APC praised the President Muhammadu Buhari administration for complete the party’s promise to Nigerians during the 2015 general elections, Fayose explained the payment as a mere arrangement for spreading a certain belief.

The party said the N5,000 conditional cash transfer scheme, which is part of a broader objective to provide safety nets to the most unprotected against attack Nigerians, was a movement of the President’s commitment to the change manifesto of the party.

Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi The National Publicity Secretary of the APC,on Tuesday he mentioned the statement in Abuja.

The APC spokesman added that, “We remember that as part of its Social Investment Programme, the government has begun putting three other main  campaign promises the party brought out to provide jobs and lift the most unprotected against attack Nigerians out of poverty.

“These include the N-Power brought for Corps, which will provide jobs for 500,000 young Nigerian graduates; 


the National Home-grown Feeding Programme, which has took place in some state that is selected , and the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, which provides soft loans, ranging from N10,000 to N100,000 to artisans, traders, market women, within others.”

The party also recognized that the past year was a hectic for one Nigerians occasioned by the economic recession in the country, expressing confidence in Buhari’s ability to provide programmes that would provide help for the people.


It quicken Nigerians to keep on supporting and praying for the Buhari-led administration so that the dream of a more prosperous, secure and stable nation would be achieved.

Fayose, explained the N5,000 initiative as a mere arrangement for spreading a certain belief, advised the Federal Government to stop running government and governance on arrangement for spreading a certain belief.

He spoke in parable that said , “A blind man will say it is when it gets into my mouth that I will say you are feeding me, not promises.”

The governor of ekiti state,on a Tuesday statement, in Ado-Ekiti by mr idowu Adelusi his Chief Press Secretary, He said there was no prove of the payment in his state, which is one of the states the Federal Government said that the exercise had embarked on.

He said apparently, the states they said had started receiving the payment were the state APC-controlled , knowing that the states’ governors would not reject the claim.

He said the Buhari-led APC government should come to the truth of  the Nigerians were hungry and also angry, stating that the people were no longer need empty promises that the should be real.

Mr Fayose urged the government to publish the number of people and the accounts of those who had received the money.

The Federal Government had, on Monday in a statement , said, “Funds for the starting of the payment in four states were given last week to the Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System – the place that hosts and validates payments for all government’s social intervention programmes. 

Funds for other five set  states to complete the first batch of nine states would be release soon.

“Though the way for the payment of the money would be managed by NIBSS operationally, people that benefit in Borno, Kwara and Bauchi states have started receiving the money.

“The other states in the first batch that will start the CCT payments are as follow Niger,Cross River,ogun Kogi, Oyo, and Ekiti states.”
