police arrest suspected burglar of oou hostels





 Mr Onyebuchi chika a notorious robbery gang that had been terrorising students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) Ago-Iwoye in Ogun State he has been suspected for long now, he  live off campus has been arrested by the state police force.

Things getting from the thief who claimed to be  Onyebuchi Chika, were a sewing machine, some gas cooker and mattresses which was  suspected to have been stolen from one of the students apartments.

 Mr Chika accused of  broken into the students’ apartments around Awa Ijebu and its environs during the weekend, where he succeeded in takin away some property of those who had travelled for Christmas.

Mr Onyebuchi chika has reportedly came back to continue with his stealing as he was not luck when one male student, who was coming back from an outing, saw him and  make  the public to know about it.

Mr Lola Gbemiga, a student who was there when the incident took place  explained how the suspect was apprehended.

 “He said, onyebuchi chika try to fled but some people in the area run after him and catch him until the coming of the policemen from Awa Ijebu Division, who later took him away. 

“the thief who break into houses have been disturbing us in this environment and we hope this apprehend will make notice to others.”

 The suspecte accept to have break into several houses in the area, adding that most of the houses were those of female students.

 According to him, “I have break into several students’ house in the area. I usually operate when they are not around, especially during holidays. 

“he said i sell the loots and uesd the money on food.

” mr onyebuchi chika further said that he decided to operate on New Year night so as to use the proceeds from the loots to celebrate new year.
