One mr Ndubusi Kalu and his friend Simeon Chidi,put it to stop on Saturday when the duo the engaged in fighting briefly and usually not very serious in their place of stay in Saula Sanni Street, Agbado,in Ogun State.
Mr Kalu, the security man reportedly stabbed Chidi with a sharp piece of bottle in his neck and back when the are fighting, the fight lasted for about 30 minutes.
The victim was immediately rushed to the hospital in tht area, where he was mentioned dead.
Mr Kalu, who come from Abia State, was subsequently apprehended by a police team from the Agbado division, leading by CSP Shittu Abioye the Divisional Police Officer.
We understand that Chidi and Kalu were best of friends that they even cook and eat together and were arranging a breakfast on that day when a misunderstanding broke out between them over a spoilt fuse.
Our correspondent understand that the fuse that supplied electricity to five building, including the two friends, had went off making them not have light.
The suspect reportedly talked about the light outage as he wanted to see a movie when the problem occurred.
The five affected people that there were said to have accept to pay the sum of N200 each to call for an electrician, who would repair the fuse.
In a discussion with, 30-year-old mr Kalu, who put the incident on the devil, said he had asked Chidi to contribute N200 for the repair, but the desease declined.
“Simeon (Chidi) and I were good friends. We eat together.
Mr kalu said the he came back from work that day in the morning and he said he did not have money for breakfast.
And he suggested that we should cook beans and garri.
He said I used N100 on me to buy garri.
“As I was cooking the food, the power went off We now later found out that the fault was from the fuse and five people in the building were affected.
The electrician we called to fix the light said that he will collect N1,000.
At of five affected tenant Two paid, but Simeon refused to pay.
He said but I went to meet him, He told me that nobody should disturb him.
He further said I told him we had to fix the fault on time because I wanted to catch up with a television program and also relax at home.”
The suspect said when they did not raise the N1,000, the electrician asked them to pay N500, what make it worsted is when mr Chidi could not produce the N400 contributed by the other two tenants.
“He said that he gave the money to somebody and the person is not around .
He said that the desease said that he would beat him with a charm if he disturbed him again.
Mr kalu said That was how we started exchanging words.
Mr kalu said that He collect a knife and asked him to come outside.
“As I was battling to collect the knife from him, he cut me with the knife on my hand and leg.
I also broke a bottle and we Begin to fight again.
But People were many, watching us, but none of them came to separate us.
It was when I stabbed him in the back that is when one man called Baba Sheri came to separate us.
It was not my intention to kill him. He said It was the devil’s handiwork.”
ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, said the suspect would be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.
He said, “The suspect and the victim were talking over N500.
The suspect brought out a knife and stabbed the victim in three places, he said.
“He was he received treated for a few minutes before he died.
“CP Ahmed lliyasi The Commissioner of Police, has directed that the case be transferred to the homicide section of the State Criminal and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, for further investigation.”
