Kashim Shettima Borno State Governor, has choose Yakubu Nkeki, the
Chairman of an association of the Chibok schoolgirls' Parents as councillor of
Mbalala ward in Chibok local government area.
The governor make it known on Monday, the nation Boxing Day, while on the guest 21 rescued Chibok schoolgirls at a government house in Chibok town, where over 200 schoolgirls were taken away by force by Boko Haram that fights against an established Government Secondary School on April 14, 2014, after a night attack.
The girls give a gift of middle size photo frame with a very confident in a way that may seem rude 'THANK YOU' printed on i.
The frame which pictures
the Governor took with the girls when he visited them in Abuja months back. The
frame also each of the 21 girl has individual pictures on.
Glory Dama, one of the 21 girls, give the photo frame on support of her colleagues. She said they deep seated appreciate to show of love by Governor Shettima and his wife, Nana Shettima.
Governor Shettima told the girls that with their ungrudging mood, the next concern had to be their future.
"As you know, 56 of your colleagues who get away from a place
of abduction are flowing in two international schools where they have
been since 2014. We are taking care of all their educational needs from school
fees to other basics.
Left to me, I would want the
21 of you to join them in those two schools so that you can all feel comfortable
and move on.
However, the Federal Government has a plan which we will come
together talk about and come up with a conclusion
that is to welcome to our daughters. President Muhammadu Buhari loves
you so much and he is deep seated concerned about our daughters that are not
free .
Shettima the governor said that He is working on that and we are
all working.
On the agreement to meet with someone at a particular time of
Yakubu Nkeki, as Councilor of Mbalala ward, Shettima said:
"We choose Yakubu Nkeki as councillor for him to have a
formal plan design to continue his supporting a cause for the government program for poor people
that help for the families of missing Chibok girls, for him to assure that they are given special careful thought at all times by the local government area on
all problem, particularly on a government program for poor people that help pay
for their food etc, on problem of their health, to give official authority
power to etc.
Keke will serve as
something that will all ways remind to
the council that there are parents like him who stay in pains. He is simply
there to the person who argues for the support for the welfare of the parents
and also as someone who has been a person
who has been attacked, he will stand by efforts of Government to protect
schools through Community supervision in addition to formal security
establishments.
The Governor also consoled parents whose daughters are yet to be
release, promising that all hands are on sundeck to make
sure that the return of all the
girls. "the shettima governor further said that I will be meeting the parents tomorrow
(Tuesday)" also ordered the presentation of consisting of various kind clothing to the girls and their
parents. "Nothing is too much for these girls and their parents he
further said.
He said They have suffered
too much and deserve our support" .
