Gunmen on Thursday in Edo state, killed the previous chairman of Etsako East local government area of Edo state, Mr. Suleiman Afegbua.
When he  was traveling to Benin, which is the state capital, was said to have been ambush at Ogbemudia farms, Iguevbihobo village, alongside the busy Benin-Auchi-Okene main road.
It was get together that the armed men had stopped a lot of  the motorists plying the freeway and look for all lodger of the car after the dead lay look down on the road.
Mr Afegbua was shot when he was supposed to have try to run away from the view of the harass and he died on the instantly  while the other two lodger  sustained gunfire wound and both are  receiving cure in an unrevealed hospital.
supply said that the late mr  Afegbua was on his way to Benin City on invitation by the governor of the state over resistance of some persons in his local government who are said to be opposing the impersonation of a manure plant in the local government area.
When get in touch with, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Nkombe, who established the occurrence, said the victims were travelling in a convoy when the armed men trap them at the dot and blast at them in the process.
He give details that the ex-council chairman gave up the ghost  at the spot while two others sustained gunfire wound, adding up that men of the anti robbery squad of the state command have been detailed to search the bushes inside the concerned area.
Nkombe however deprived of reports that the assailant went absent with some of their victims.
“he said There was no sign of any kidnap and no such signal that they are Fulani herdsmen. Police Tactical Team of the state command, anti robbery squad are on peak of the condition and have been position to explore the bushes around the region,”.
