Four pupils of the federal government girls college Oyo and a driver were crushed to death in a bizarre accident few kilometres away from the school gate on Sunday. Five other pupils were injured in the accident and are currently receiving treatment at various hospital in the town.the deceased pupils, olubukola john, ss3; taibat Giwa,SS3; mojisola ladipo,SS1;and Marian ibrogba JSS3; and those injured were returning to the school after observing mid-term break. The public. Relation officer of the college, Mr akin omitade , told our correspondent that the accident occurred at a market when an overloaded truck fell on the mini-bus.the PRO said the students were returning to school from the mid-ter break .the were already in oyo town and boarded the usual mini-bus at the park ahead of the 6pm resumption deadline. But an accident occurred when a truck carrying loaded of garri lost its balance while trying to navigate its way amid the busy market where traders displayed their wares at different parts of the road .it fell sideways with all its content spilled on the mini-bus conveying the pupils. The driver and the four pupils died immediately while five others pupils who managed to escape were seriously injured and are already receiving medical attention in two different Private hospitals in Oyo state.our apeal is for government to quickly help us repair that narrow part of the road. We also want to call on the market and community leaders to ensure that traders are not allowed to display their wares on the road as that often compounds the traffic situation of the dilapidated. When our correspondent visited the school,academic activities were observed to have been suspended because of the large numbers of the community and others sympathisers who paid condolences visit to the school. The market was also closed in honour of the deceased.

The formar governor of abia state orji uzo kalu .is currently in the dock before a federal high court in Lagos answering alleged corruption in charges.orji uzo kalu and others had been initially arraigned in 2007 before justice adamu bellow of the federal high court .abuja (now retired).the were arraigned in an amended 34-court charge over an alleged diversion of about N3.2bn from the abia state government treasure during orji uzo kalu tenure as governor.

Mohammed azma 20yr old also college student who was the first person to be charged with involvement with al-Qaeda in Malaysia, was sentence 12 years imprisonment by a high court on Monday .
The Malaysia based Mohammad azma, 20, who had pleaded guilty on sept.27. The news portal reported that Mohammed azman had been charged with entering Syria in 2014 where he became a member of the June al-Qaeda.
Police apprehended azman when he came to kuala Lumpur international Airport from Egypt.
